MASSAÏ WARRIORS

The Massai people live along the big rift valley between the Eastern African countries of Kenya and Tanzania. To this day the Massai retain many of their early traditional ways: their attire and jewelry, their cattle keeper habits as well as their spears and bludgeons that make them fierce warriors and hunters have remained the same for generations. However, more and more of the Massai people are replacing their weapons with long sticks to herd the cattle as the Kenyan and Tanzanian governments have made hunting in some areas illegal, and as there is no longer the need for the local traditional fighting ways.
